Online Scam
Online Scam
Every good thing has
it's own bad side like surfing on the internet. Most of us like to spend some
time by surfing or enjoying the online communities-dating sites for having some
good time, meeting with the other people, exchanging the knowledge, little
flirt or some education. But not all of us having the same mind as we have.
They like to make a easy living by scamming the others which is not a pleasant
experience to have.
Scam!! What is that actually? A scam is usually something that deprives you of
money or opportunity. Scammers use the Internet in a number of ways to promote
scams. Fraud through emails, promoting unreal products or services is only a
few of them. So in a clear way those people are trying to get you with an
emotional way which is the weak part of the human nature.
So, how those people are trying to scam us? There is two major way to do that.
First of it is the emails. They do send you an email with a real sad story and
ask you to help them in finance. Mostly they chose the opposite gender to send
those emails because it is easy to convince. The other emailing scam method is
to asking you to cash a check. Like they say that they are stocked somewhere in
Africa or somewhere, they are there for a photos hoot and their mother got
badly sick in somewhere in US or EU but they can't get there because there
manager is not with them and they are not old enough to cash the check out.
Wonder how they can be somewhere far from home if they are miner? So, they ask
if you can cash out the check for them and even better they leave the nice
piece of that money to you. So they will send you the check and you just have
to cash it out and send the money back to them. To goo to be true isn't it?
That way they will get your personal info like home address, name and more to
run some more scams. Ok, let’s say the person really send you the check, than
what? You go to your bank and they see the check is a fake and you get in to a
trouble. In the mean time the scammer has all the info they need about you. The
other way is to give you a real nice opportunity which is to good to be true
which is not. Like having a good job, making easy money and more. I don't know
if you have been seen on television but there was a lady who got a great job
via the net and she just had to post some packages but later she had a trouble
with the police because those goods were stolen.
After all surfing on the net is fun right? But the question is how can we
protect ourselves from being scammed? Well, it is simple. Do not share your
private info with no one (email address, home address, phone number, full name
etc.) unless you don't know the person. Do not sign up anywhere before you
check it out. Be aware what kind of a info they are asking to register. Do not
believe all the stories which is to good to be true. There are some people who
is posting their private info in there profiles just to get your private info
to run a scam. So do not react them. Do not respond someone’s email which is
posted in public. Do not react the chain mails which says send this mail to ten
other persons or your nose will fall off. Simple isn't it?
